Workshops

Now Accepting Applications | Constitution

Arts Letters & Numbers is pleased to announce our 6th summer workshop. Each year, we structure our summer workshop through a question or questions that address the moment we are in. This year we ask: CONSTITUTION. We frame Constitution as a constellation of questions with the hope that we can inhabit them and create new works, acts, and actions, that speak to the urgencies of our time.

A body of fundamental principles or established precedents according to which a state or other organization is acknowledged to be governed.

A decree, ordinance, or law.

The composition of something: ‘the genetic constitution of a species’

The action of forming or establishing something.

A person's physical state as regards vitality, health, and strength.

Medicine/Medical, Psychology. The aggregate of a person's physical and psychological characteristics.

The description of the identity and connectivity (and corresponding bond multiplicities) of the atoms in a molecular entity (omitting any distinction arising from their spatial arrangement)

Constitutional isomers are compounds that have the same molecular formula and different connectivity. If both molecules have the same count for all of the different atoms, and the atoms are arranged in different ways (their connectivity is different), the molecules will be constitutional isomers.

The physical makeup of a body, including the mode of performance of its functions, the activity of its metabolic processes, the manner and degree of its reactions to stimuli, and its power of resistance to the attack of pathogenic organisms.

A person's character.
