We are honored to announce that Director David Gersten has been elected to the Board of Directors of Big Picture Learning. In his own words, “Joining the Board of Big Picture Learning is a distinct personal honor for me, they are a remarkable organization, transforming lives around the world, every day, through a completely unique vision of education. Their mission aligns perfectly with the mission of Arts Letters & Numbers, this is yet another signal of the wonderful collaborations our two organizations are embarking on.”
Big Picture Learning, established in 1995, was born with an intention to demonstrate that schooling and education can and should be radically changed. With the sole mission of putting students directly at the center of their own learning, Big Picture Learning envisions that students would be at the center their own education. Today, there over 65 Big Picture network schools in the United States and many more around the world; with schools in Australia, the Netherlands, Italy and Canada utilizing the Big Picture Learning design. Each individual school embodies the fundamental philosophy of Big Picture Learning: putting students at the center of their own learning.
