This year we will be making a very significant move forward by renovating the entire first floor of our mill. The space will be retrofitted to include studios, a wood / metal shop, photography darkrooms, and the beginnings of a printshop. And - finally! - we will install a heating system, which will allow us to program the facility year round - a very important milestone for ALN!
It is with great joy and excitement that we announce our 5th Summer Workshop:
As fall settled on Averill Park we gathered around the fire and proudly welcomed Professor of Anthropology and Aesthetics, Remo Guidieri, who spoke at the mill for the third time. A Day at the Mill with Remo Guidieri has become a highly anticipated yearly event on the Arts Letters & Numbers calendar. This year was no exception.
The artists who knew each other for varied amounts of time created a deeply moving intersection of their creative trajectories, capturing global issues explorations in abstraction, and the local nuance of Averill Park and the Mill. Photographs of the exhibition are now available to view.
