Francisco Perez is a Chilean contemporary painter, based in Berlin and known in the art-scene as TOTEM. During his residency he has been working on large scale drawings and installations in our Mill. Not only has he created a great amount of amazing works, he has also been collaborating with the local artists and the community thoughout the process. This exhibition will be the celebration of his time in Residence at Arts Letters and Numbers.
This HEAT gathering marks the beginning of a series of events in search of new structures for a new world: structures for proximity, interaction and transformation, for the evolution of knowledge within an expanding disciplinary geography, for empathy; material and spatial, structures for the individual poetic imagination to construct shared stories and spaces as a profound social act.
In short, we are in search of an emergent institution as organic and alive as our workshops.

On October 25, 2014, we spent a day at our Mill in Averill Park, NY. It was a full day, starting with a Masterclass with Corporeal Mime Rich Kuperberg, followed by lunch, a talk with Anthropologist Remo Guidieri, and dinner.
