Last year Arts Letters & Numbers had the great opportunity to work with the talented student at Albany High School. The piece Which Way is Home? was written and performed by the students. The play explores the lives of immigrant and African American students as they search for the meaning of home. After the play was over the group worked with Youth FX (an award winning non-profit group in Albany that teaches film making to youth) to take each of the individual student written pieces in the play and make a 2 - 5 minute film of it. The films were all shot at the Mill last June.
On Sunday, June 11th, at 2:00 pm at the Madison Theatre in Albany, Youth FX will be hosting a film festival of all the short films and the students will be present for a Q & A sharing afterward.
