As this summers workshop is approaching, it's time to, not only have the facilities getting prepared, but also the minds to start inhabiting the questions around Constitution.
Over a couple of morning sessions the workshop preparation team and the artists in residence will join Chris Rose to hear and reflect on his thoughts on 'Deciding to See'.
‘Deciding to See’ will embrace both the practical and the phenomenal dimensions of the visual imagination as it moves between us and our world. What we decide to seepushes at the world, and as it pushes back at us in not quite the same way, we encounter the friction of experience. We are implicated in the construction of our experience and its effects. This pre-session of the summer workshop is intended to set up conditions for re-imagining and re-experiencing the cognitive spaces that may span the inwardly rooted and the outwardly projected constitutions of ourselves.
