Let's celebrate the arrival of the fall with an evening of food, sound, photography, and film...
We start by eating dinner in the dark, an exploration of eating with one sense less. Please bring finger food you are happy to share with others in the pitch dark of the barn.
And after that... some words and images to evoke the play of dark and light, from lost Auroras to film transformed from an object of decay to a thing of beauty.
Features the drawings of Sophus Tromholt, 19th century Danish photographer and astronomy pioneer, presented by ALN artist in residence, Christine Finn; his words spoken by English actor, Michael Maloney (Truly, Madly, Deeply; The Reader), and then a screening under the stars of Bill Morrison's classic film of found footage "Decasia" (2002)
