Directed by Noelle Gentile, Albany High Schools Theater Ensemble is again taking on a highly important subject, and working it in to a performance. In the era of the “Me Too” movement, the original, student-written, world premiere of "HERS", explores, deconstructs and challenges our patriarchal culture, while empowering and featuring the voices of diverse woman including, trans, cis, queer, lesbian and gender nonconforming. Where and how does misogyny impact all of us and the systems we live and work in?
We are highly supporting of the crucial work by the students who have been guided by director Noelle Gentile, choreographer Gregory Theodore Marsh and student director Jaidyn Hires. Come experience this experimental theatre performance, at Albany High Schools Theater, May 16 - 18 at 7pm and May 19th at 2pm. This is an experience whose very structure will push the boundaries of traditional story telling.
