Binding Your Book
The bookbinding workshop is a part of the ongoing Building Bibliophilia series hosted at Arts Letters & Numbers. This workshop will cover a few simple bookbinding techniques as a starting point for participants to make their own investigations and experimentations with the book form.
The participants are encouraged to bring paper, prints and other personal item, to make the own very personal book, either as something beautiful to have for yourself or to give to a loved one.
Please feel free to bring any, prints, photos, pages from other books, wrapping; anything you can think of to be made into a book. We will provide all tools necessary to do the binding, as well as a selection of paper.

Subgenera of Contradictions, Artist Lecture by Grupo < >
Grupo < > will give their first ever public lecture, Subgenera of Contradictions.
Over the past year the five artists have come together to form the collective Grupo < >, organizing weekly meetings to develop writing and dialogue around their distinct practices while building a broader understanding of the histories that influenced them or their families to migrate to the United States.
The lecture itself is a work of art, Grupo < > are merging the artist lecture with elements of performance to create a complete work revolving around the collaborative writing they have produced over the last year.

An International Artist Dinner
After the lecture there will be an artist dinner hosted by Grupo < >. Each artist has prepared a few dishes with inspiration in their or their family’s origin, from which the dinner-guests will create their own plate as an interpretation of the theme.
