Maria Negulescu

Maria Negulescu received her BFA from Mass Art in Boston with a concentration in printmaking in 2000. She has worked a lot in different print studios in Italy, Holland, Spain and still does projects from time to time in Berlin. In 2013 she did get the Pollock Krasner Foundation Grant to attend Byrdcliffe in Woodstock NY. She is completing a book of 13 animal screen prints and hopes to publish it this year.

Past Resident

Emma Harling


Emma Harling, born 1989 in Gothenburg, Sweden, is a textile designer and artist currently based in New York City. 
 
She has an experimental approach to image making, combining a variety of mediums such as painting, printmaking, drawing, and is especially interested in fiber techniques historically regarded upon as women’s craft.
 
As a commercial textile designer, Emma has created prints for a wide variety of fashion labels, including but not limited to Alexander Wang, Ralph Lauren, Michael Kors, H&M, Gwen Stefani, Monki, Anthropologie, FILA, and Prabal Gurung. 
 
She co-founded gallery Nya Skolan in Gothenburg, and received the SWEA Mona Johnsson scholarship in 2014. She has exhibited in Sweden and in the United States.
