Tales of the Unexpected, November 9th - November 12th, explores these principles in multiple topics including geology, balance, the biosphere, evolution, proportion, imagination, the sense of both the enduring and the ephemeral, and survival of life within a ring of fire and the community of ideas.

‘Deciding to See’ explores how, in our efforts to understand complex conditions, we may do more than just look into reflections of ourselves. Working with relatively simple ideas in language, seeing through drawing, and the aesthetic nature of the many perceptual dimensions that as humans we may bring together, it is possible simply to ‘see’ more and so experience the shared insight that identifies creative experience and creates new knowledge.
February 3rd - 10th, 2018
Pianist and composer Michael Harrison will lead a dedicated group of participants to be immersed in the creative process of making music. The week long session will be an exploration in finding new ways to unleash creative potential, and to discover and develop individual voices as creative artists.
March 5th - 9th, 2018
Three lectures organized around the topics of 1) Attunement: The Possibility of Meaning in the Contemporary Lived Environment, 2) Built upon Love: Architectural Longing after Ethics and Aesthetics and 3) Architecture as a Performing Art, will be delivered on three consecutive days, followed by spaces of engaged dialogue.
