Online Concert
A three-hour nonstop performance with video and audio recordings by 26 composers, performers and interdisciplinary artists of works that were created mostly during the Creative Music Online program in August 2021. Highlights include world premieres of 8 works written specifically for Del Sol String Quartet, and performances by Creative Music Online director Michael Harrison and faculty members Vadim Neselovskyi, Payton MacDonald, and Reiko Fueting’s Passage Time performed by violinist Miranda Cuckson.
Creative Music Online is a two-week virtual program held from August 16-29, 2021. The program is open to both amateur and professional musicians in any genre. Participants will be immersed in the creative process of making and performing music, exploring new approaches and developing individual and collaborative works as creative artists.
This unique program was led by composer/pianist Michael Harrison and co-taught by Del Sol String Quartet, composer Reiko Fueting, composer/pianist Vadim Neselovskyi, vocalist Daisy Press, composer/percussionist/vocalist Payton MacDonald, and Arts Letters & Numbers founding director David Gersten, with special guest Terry Riley. They each hosted weekly classes via Zoom, gave one-on-one lessons, as well as facilitating potential collaborations with co-participants and a wide range of artists affiliated with Arts Letters & Numbers.
