Supper Club vol.4

November 21st, 2019

Opalka Gallery, NY, United States

On November 21st, Opalka Gallery, Collar Works and Arts Letters & Numbers invited 40 people to dine in the gallery. The dinner was created by Frida Foberg and Natasha Holmes. Three courses were served, each with its own take on how to eat together. The Gallery became at once, painting studio, dining room and theater stage, the dinner was a performance and the guests were the performers.

The food was locally sourced with the majority of meat and vegetables from Laughing Earth Farm, with supplements of cheese from Navona restaurant, apples and elderflower from Arts Letters & Numbers and sourdough from Opalka Gallery.

The event was an expression of local resources - using the setting of the gallery and local food - and an experience for bringing the audience out of their norm of eating and inviting them to literally share a meal in an act of community and communication.
